Jacob's First Toss

A tiny Manim animation with a big smile

Jacob had just started learning Manim. As one of his first projects, he created a simple animation featuring two stickmen.

One stickman waved and tossed a ball. The other waved and caught it. The entire animation lasted only four seconds—but it instantly felt alive.

With just a few moving lines and a flying ball, Jacob created a scene full of personality. The animation was simple, playful, and impossible to watch without smiling.

Animation doesn't have to be complex to be expressive. A handful of geometric shapes, combined with code and timing, can tell a story and evoke emotion.
